Congressman Michael McCaul, Chairman of the China Task Force, released the following statement on the FY2021 National Defense Authorization Act passing the House.

“The Chinese Communist Party is our greatest generational threat and this year’s NDAA takes important steps to push back on their malign global agenda by enacting dozens of key bipartisan recommendations from the China Task Force report. The NDAA responds to the CCP’s malign military activities and strengthens ours through efforts like the Pacific Deterrence Initiative. It also takes steps to secure our supply chain, support Taiwan, and condemn the CCP’s human rights abuses. I will keep working with my colleagues both on and off the task force, and on both sides of the aisle, to continue enacting our policy recommendations.”

A full list of CTF recommendations included in this year’s NDAA can be found here and a list of CTF recommendations that have been acted on can be found here.
